What We Do
Our mission at Impact Basketball is to bring quality basketball to everyone, regardless of their background or skill level.
Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced player, we want to provide an opportunity to get on the court and perform at your best. We place a strong emphasis on fundamentals, and we use a variety of teaching techniques to ensure that every player gets the most out of our programs. Our coaches are experienced, knowledgeable, and dedicated to providing a quality basketball experience for all.

We embrace our identity as a grassroots youth basketball club, our strength in being small lies in that we can prioritize individual connections with each player. We foster a positive environment centred on teamwork, dedication, and skill development. Our aim is to offer the players the best opportunity to grow and excel in basketball. That also means we are flexible to your financial limitations and will work with you on a personal level and get you playing quality basketball.

Get to Know
The Head Coach
Originally hailing from Calgary, Alberta, Canada, Coach Wahid has traversed the globe, honing his skills in both playing and coaching professional basketball.
In 2020, Coach Wahid debuted in the Moldovan SuperLeague, showcasing his talents with an impressive average of 13 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 assists. Recognized for his prowess, he was invited to transition to coaching and scouting for Team Gloria BC in the subsequent season. His coaching debut resulted in a remarkable 3rd place finish in both the preseason and regular season, triumphing over more seasoned teams.
Returning to Canada, Coach Wahid established Calgary Impact, aiming to impart his expertise to grassroots basketball in Calgary.
Since then, Coach Wahid has seamlessly transitioned between countries, organizing diverse basketball events and remotely scouting for elite teams while in Canada. His coaching and playing stints have taken him to Moldova, Germany, Mexico, and the Dominican Republic.
With his distinctive skill set and extensive experience, Coach Wahid has positively impacted thousands of basketball players worldwide, spanning from youth and AAU to professional levels, helping them elevate their game to new heights.
